This product admits one person to our monthly lecture night. Tickets are specific to a lecture and cannot be re-used. Ticket will include the details of the lecture to which this ticket provides admission. It will not be accepted for any other lecture.
You will receive an email on completion of your order, the invoice attached to that will act as your ticket to the event. Please ensure you have a printed copy of the invoice with you or a copy on your phone or mobile device when attending.
This ticket is not transferable so it will be for the named person only.
Synopsis:
Our August lecture will be given by MAVC's very own Ray Sellers. The presentation "The Falklands - A Travelogue" will cover two trips he made to the Antarctic, both the continent itself, and the Peninsular. The latter included visits to The Falkland Islands and the Island of South Georgia. The presentation will cover a mix of military history, exploration history, stunning scenery, and amazing wildlife.
On leaving school and wanting to travel, Ray joined the then BOAC (that later became British Airways). Ray served there for 30 years, travelling extensively both whilst working and later in retirement. Ray has visited over 100 countries, indulging his many interests including history, transport, art, architecture and the performing arts.
Doors open at 7.00 PM
Lecture starts at 7.30 PM. There will be a short interval for tea / coffee and the raffle.
Event closes approx 9.45 PM.
